After 30+ years of being a serious Mac user, I am providing my first review ever of one of the hundreds of various small apps I’ve downloaded and used through the years. For the last two years I’ve used SnapNDrag to capture graphics (and text in some cases) for preparing various reports, presentation materials and so forth. Great software working unobtrusively in the background, accessible instantly when needed. It has become such an integral and indispensible part of my routine that I can’t imagine working on my many projects without it.

I have been using Grab for many years on a daily basis to capture puzzles from my digital newspaper for printing and solving during breakfast. SnapNDrag should be a part of future versions of mac operating system because of its ease of use and extra features. The extra feature that I expect to be using is folders for grouping screenshots for projects. It will be very useful when working on multiple projects. Instead of screen shots being scattered all over photos, they will be grouped and renamed (easily) in folders according to projects.

It doesn’t have any zooming capabilities. I don’t use the app as a result; if I’m looking to get precise for screenshots, I simply can’t use this app. If you don’t need zooming capabilities, then this app is good, otherwise.

Great design for easy capture of screenshots. Quick, easy, and always available to switch to, and then capture whatever I’m doing. I appreciate the great organization, ease of naming captures and their files, and the abilty to export in different formats.

As a Windows convert I was missing the very basic but functional Snip it Tool. Grab is pretty ineffective and requies too many click. This is the solution i was waiting for. i’d love it to be native, but its well worth the cost as this is an everyday tool. Very functional and SMART!

When LittleSnapper was no longer supported I started looking for a replacement app and discovered SnapNDrag Pro. I’ve been using it for 3+ years. I prefer apps that I use a lot to have an access option via the Finder Menu Bar so kudos to SnapNDrag Pro for providing it. So why only 4 stars? I use the “Capture Selection” option more than any other. Unlike LittleSnapper, I cannot fine tune my selection. If I want to drag a corner or side a little bit to get it just right, I can’t do it. . . As soon as I stop dragging the app the selection is made. I would prefer that the selection was finalized by clicking inside it like when using the “Capture Window” option. I would also like to see PDF added as a format option.

It is simple, straightforward, easy to use. I like the new features a lot, especially the folders that you can categorize. Highly recommend plus this is a small devleoper so we need to support them!!

I love this app, I think it does all that I need it for and it does it simply and quietly!! I like the ability of choosing your coppying field and then the ability to be able to edit it or annotate on it! It is simply editable and then you have the emailing or sharing options. I think it is awesome!! Highly recommend it.

I often work on projects where I have to take several separate sets of screen shots, change the name of each shot, and file each set in a separate folder. This is the only screenshot app of all the ones on the market that let me do this. This app lets you create a folder, take a set of shots (which automatically get stored in that folder), then click through the shots and change the filenames as desired. This is exactly what I need. No other screenshot app lets me do this. All the other modern screenshot apps dump every shot into an ever-growing pool of all the shots you’ve ever taken. Then you have to sort through them and “tag” them; after which you can create a query (often called something like a “smart folder”) to find all the shots you’ve assigned the same tag to. What a royal pain! Even then, most apps don’t let you change the filename. So despite their attractive appearance and “advanced features” they don’t work for me.

Incredibly useful and easy to use. So nice to be able to capture images and not only save them; but put them in organized folders for future reference. This is the best! I have been using this application for many, many years. If I remember right my first use was back in 2001? Not sure; but as time went by, the developers did nothing buy make it easier and more flexible to use. Give the free version a try and you will be excited to get the full version in order to get your hands on all the amazing features. I love this App.

SnapNDrag Pro is super easy to use and very quick with what it does. I’ve been a long-time user and it’s my go-to screen/selection capture app.

I use this app every day and it is worth every penny!!! I’ve used a bunch of other screenshot apps and no other app even comes close to this. The developer added small features that make this insanely powerful - like capture last selection/window and the copy selected screenshot to clipboard. So simple, but so powerful! Also, the built-in annotation tool saves me from having to open the image in another editor and also keeps my desktop free of a bunch of screenshot files.

I have used this for years. I just sent a request for support. 23 minutes later I received an excellent response with 3 ways to solve the problem I had. That’s impressive!

I use this app all the time. I know there’s a simple Mac keyboard shortcut (command + shift + 4) to screenshot a selection but I still end up using this app because I don’t have to remember anything, and it is easy to store my screenshots in specific folders right from the application. Very handy. Thank you.

I found this looking for a quick easy screen capture tool and this fit the requirements perfectly. Highly recommend if you are looking for something simple that grabs a screen selection exactly where you want.
