I often work on projects where I have to take several separate sets of screen shots, change the name of each shot, and file each set in a separate folder. This is the only screenshot app of all the ones on the market that let me do this.
This app lets you create a folder, take a set of shots (which automatically get stored in that folder), then click through the shots and change the filenames as desired. This is exactly what I need. No other screenshot app lets me do this.
All the other modern screenshot apps dump every shot into an ever-growing pool of all the shots you’ve ever taken. Then you have to sort through them and “tag” them; after which you can create a query (often called something like a “smart folder”) to find all the shots you’ve assigned the same tag to. What a royal pain! Even then, most apps don’t let you change the filename. So despite their attractive appearance and “advanced features” they don’t work for me.
